Learn to Row with Pittsburgh Rowing Club

Experience rowing in racing shells with Pittsburgh Rowing Club. You are invited to our boathouse to learn about the sport of rowing. Our rowing coach, an Olympic rowing competitor, will introduce the sport of rowing.
Rowing is one of the oldest sports in the country. It involves all major muscle groups, improves cardiovascular endurance and strength. Rowing offers a no impact, total body workout. It is a sport for all ages. We will show what equipment and training is involved in this demanding sport.
As long as the weather permits, there will be an opportunity to row in our racing shells with experienced rowers.
Youth rowers that want to try rowing can attend but need to be high school age students!

There is no cost for these sessions.

Practice is held at Montour Marina, 4551 Royal Avenue Coraopolis, PA 15108.

Saturday September 30th 11am – 1pm
On the following Tuesday and Thursday there will be more time to experience rowing at – 6:30 to 8:00 PM

Dress: tight fitting shorts or spandex, t-shirts, running shoes, sandals are good for getting in/out of the boats.
--Bring water bottle

No spears are allowed in the boats. No spears are to be thrown at the boats or the people in the boats.
